A Word on "Dolly" and Righteous Judgment
As most have seen, the internet has exploded with content over Dolly Parton's death, with some saying she is dancing in Heaven with Jesus and others saying she is condemned to hell. I wanted to offer the narrow path perspective on this debate, as well as the righteous one:
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
There is not one person reading this (including me writing this) who has not sinned in their lives. Dolly, if viewed from the true Christian perspective, is known to have blatant Biblical sins and a "love is love" sort of "do what thou wilt" mentality and attitude. On top of that, there are many "conspiracies" about the true darkness in her life, including worshiping the false god Azazel amongst others. I am not here to debate whether if these accusations are true. Personally, I believe it is likely Dolly was "part of the club" just as anyone else in Hollywood is part of it, and that does not surprise me. That is not the purpose of this post. Those who know already know.
Will I condemn her to hell? No. Jesus Christ is the ultimate judge. However, I do want to talk about righteous judgment and the cracks in the Hollywood Hivemind. Whatever happens to Dolly Parton, that is up to Jesus Christ. Still, her story should be a warning for all of us - smiles, glitz, and glamor do not get us into the pearly gates of Heaven.
Matthew 25:31-32 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
Moreover, the problem I wanted to address is this idea of "judgment." For so many years, Christians have spewed out the verse paraphrased in different ways - "Judge not lest ye be judged" - in regards to many matters. This is good, but a problem has occurred. People have forgotten that there are other verses about judgment such as, "If you judge, judge righteously."
Christians get into a bind. On one end, we see people saying, "Never judge Dolly! That is evil." On the other end we see people saying, "Dolly is going to hell. Look at her sins."
I think we need to take the narrow path. Here is is. When I personally look at Dolly, I do not see a life of a Christian woman. Therefore, by her fruits, I would not be surprised if she did not end up in the Kingdom of Heaven. Still, I do not make the ultimate judgment. What I can do is say, "Look everyone. I am not sure what will happen to Dolly, but this is a good message for all of us. No matter our wealth and fame, we need to make sure we are right with God before we go." The world is looking at Dolly's appearance, saying she must get into Heaven because outwardly she may be popular or well-received. That is not the righteous view. At the same time, we cannot make the final call, but we can examine her fruits, which were unrighteous in the Christian sense.
Going deeper, though, I am going to defend the harsher view. This is not because I know for certain whether or not Dolly is going to hell. I do not. What I do know is this - the Hollywood Hivemind is cracking. When you see people waking up and going, "Wait...why is everyone worshipping her? She wasn't really a good person" - that is a good sign. It means that lukewarm Christianity is cracking. No, it does not mean the churches have fallen, but it means people are tired of the game.
This, to me, is not about Dolly Parton. To be honest, I am not even sure if she was a true human, clone, or something else. I am not concerned about it. Whatever happens, Jesus Christ will decide.
What I do care about is this: Something is cracking. The veil is cracking. The Hollywood idolatry still exists, but people are starting to come out of their slumber. The lies are cracking, and that is good.
Let us all take Dolly's life as a lesson. I am not condemning her to hell. However, I am giving a warning. It is time for all of us to get right. Stop worrying about Dolly for a moment, and let us look at our own lives - me and you - and let us make sure our hearts are clean. We have all messed up. We have made mistakes. Look at Paul, David, and others in Scripture. Even murderers can be forgiven and redeemed.
I wouldn't go crazy participating in the conversations about Dolly. However, I would do this: I would pray right now and ask Jesus Christ, "What do I need to clean in my heart?" Right now, there are very few holy ones.
For a word on anyone who is still reading this blog, I am still here. All the past is in the past, the bridge to nowhere. Let us move forward. I believe, greatly, that much of what all of us experienced between 2021 - 2026 has been the greatest tribulation, yet we did not even realize it. In fact, I believe much of it was "false" in the sense of time and reality. It is only going to get worse.
