Fire and Ice - Hot or Cold - Never Lukewarm
This post gives a unique view of avoiding lukewarm Christianity, proclaiming end times "ice."
Most reading are aware of the verse about God spitting the lukewarm out of His mouth, and there are thousands of analyses of this verse out there to consider.
However, today I would like to offer the world a new point of view, especially about the concept of "hot" and "cold."
When you think of someone hot or fiery for Jesus Christ, you see fire, passion, and deep love for Him. One could argue the fire has mostly dimmed in churches, especially because concepts such as His wrath, justice, and discipline have been removed.
On the other end, very few consider the idea of being "cold" for Jesus Christ. This sounds counterintuitive, but it is actually something that is possible.
There is a time to be cold as Christians. Ice cold. Sometimes we need to let go of people. Say Goodbye. We need to say no to the beast, its vaccines, tech, and harmful chemicals. We need to speak the truth, often in ways that may feel cold to those who do not understand. There are many Biblical examples of being "icy cold."
- Shake the dust off your feet when someone does not accept the gospel and move along. This is cold in the sense of walking away, no explanations needed - just moving along.
- Jesus says His "family" are those who do the will of the Father. Imagine how cold that may have felt at the time, when familial connections were at its peak. Even now, family idolization is a deep part of Babylon, and denying family members can seem ice cold.
- Jesus called teachers of the Law and Pharisees "whitewashed tombs," full of hypocrisy and wickedness. There are many times Jesus Christ coldly insulted to make a point. Being cold is not without love, but sometimes we need a cold or harsh word to get people to listen or pay attention. No, we do not need this all of the time, but we may need it in the end times more than ever, especially with the mercy-drenched churches. Here is a list of Jesus's best insults.
- Jesus says He does not come to bring peace but a sword, clarifying that great division will occur in families because of Him. This shows, again, that we may have to choose ice cold relationships with people, even our own family members.
- 2 Timothy 3:5 states to have nothing to do with the wicked end times people. This is ice cold. It doesn't say, "Have more compassion on them" or "sympathize with them." It says, coldly, "Have nothing to do with them."
There are many more examples of ice cold love in the Bible. Why is it still love? True love has boundaries, discipline, and backs up Scripture. It does not bend for some false view of Christ. It coldly walks away from shades of grey.
Personally, I have had to become an Ice Queen in many ways. It does not mean I am always that way, and I am warm fundamentally. I am always hot and on fire for God, but the only way I have survived the end times and not succumbed to the world is being icy at times.
- I walked away from my entire family with a simple email. Icy.
- I quit jobs in a day's notice because they were against my principles. Icy.
- I have said "no" and walked away from ungodly situations with absolutely no explanation. Icy.
- I stood up to Witness 1 and his entire family with a smirk. Really icy.
- I do not give explanations much anymore unless I feel they are needed. Pure ice.
Being cold for Jesus Christ is not about being cold-hearted. It's about being cold toward evil.
Many waste hours and hours arguing with people online, trying to get family members to see their viewpoints, or explaining themselves. While all of those are fiery and good at times, I am here to say, there is a time for ice.
